Been drumming since I was 11 years old. Time flies by quickly... But I started out by myself, but got encouraged by my Dad to take lessons. My Dad also bought me my first drumkit. A Tama Royal Star from the early 70's! Have deeply regretted that I sold that kit.

My first teacher was Alvin Otto from the Danish 80's heavy/rock band 'Skagarack'. Alvin taught me so much about keeping time, the importance of a solid beat and all kind of rudiments... My second teacher Allan Frank. A studio drummer from Kolding in Denmark, also taught me a lot rudiments and tricks from all the great legends. I have since had a whole lot of teachers and I owe them all alot. To name a few, there was Allan Frank, Peter Bo (Music Daily) and Lars Viberg (Aarhus Music Academy).

I have to admit that my greatest teacher has been playing in bands. The experience and the routine that you get from playing in a band and being on the road is priceless.

Among my inspirations as a drummer are: Matt Sorum & Steven Adler, Matt Cameron, Jack Irons, John Bonham (of course), Phil Collins, Ian Paice, Billy Cobham and many many others.
